Aisha and Rahul is the first film of Asopa Films Incorporation, Twinkle Productions and Asopa Films International.[1][2][3] It is a romantic-comedy that highlights the themes of love, friendship, and reincarnation.[4] Aisha and Rahul was released on 8th February by Asopa Film Incorporation and Twinkle Productions and distributed on DVD by Asopa Films Incorporation (Canada) and Celebrity Video Distribution (United States).[5][6][7]
Aisha and Rahul won the Golden Ace Award at the Las Vegas Film Festival 2009 and Maple Leaf Award at the Canada International Film Festival 2009 and the Golden Palm Award at Mexico International Film Festival in 2009.[8]
Plot[edit]
Aisha and Rahul is a romantic-comedy that revolves around the protagonists Aisha and Rahul. Hailing from a typical traditional family, Aisha grew up in a westernized world, whereas Rahul, in the recent past, moved from India to pursue higher education and land a job.[9] The idea of setting in a new community based on a different culture of Rahul is overwhelming but having found Aisha as his confidant, Rahul manages to cope with this new change.
The story concentrates on the destined meeting of the star-crossed lovers focusing on the themes of love, friendship, pain, emotions, loneliness, death, and expectation of reincarnation.
