Aismar Simón
Aismar Simón (born 1 April 1973) is a Cuban pianist, composer and producer.
Since 2017 he is the pianist of Mercadonegro Orchestra.
Biography[edit]
Aismar was born in Ciego de Ávila (Cuba).
Music has been an essential part of his life since an early age. Born in a family of musicians, he started playing the piano at 4 and in a few years, at the age of 9, he accompanied solo singers and the choir of his hometown School of Music.[1]
Graduated at the National School of Art in Havana where he studied Music and Arts.
From 2004 and 2008 he has been director and arranger for the Lady Salsa musical.[2]
In 2017 Aismar became the pianist of Mercadonegro Orquestra[3]. From which performs on the most important stages of Mexico, Colombia and Europe, including Montreaux Jazz Festival, Latinossegor and Festival Latinoamericando in Milan.
He has played at the most important Jazz Festival in Europe like Umbria Jazz Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival and Arosa Jazz Festival.
