Ait Tifnout
Ait Tifnout (Tamazight: ⴰⵉⵜ ⵜⵉⴼⵏⵓⵜ | Arabic: ايت تيفنوت) is a Berber Atlas Tribe that lives in southwestern Morocco near Toubkal of about 20000 people, living in Tifnout Region in Adrar n' Dern(High Atlas) east of Toubkal Mountain. The valley of Tifnout runs through their territory.
Ait Tifnout were in the Ait Wawzgit Confederacy. Originally, Ait Tifnout is a Berber tribe belonging to the Masmouda Berber group. Ait Tifnout speak Southern Atlas Language called Tachelhit and they still speak it to this day.
