Aixam 300

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Aixam 300 is part of the Aixam microcar series from 2001-2004, meant for fuel economy and getting around town.[1] It is currently not legal to drive in the U.S., as there are safety concerns with accidents. It has a fuel capacity of 4.2 U.S. gallons, as it is only meant for small trips. The mileage per gallon is not known, as it was never tested, but it is estimated the Aixam 300 gets around 50 to 60 mpg. It was sold only in Europe.

Specifications With a maximum top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h), a curb weight of 772 lbs (350 kgs), the Evolution 300 has a naturally-aspirated, air-cooled transverse Diesel In-line 2 cylinder engine. This engine produces a maximum power of 5 PS (5 bhp - 4 kW) at 3600 rpm and a maximum torque of 11.6 Nm (8 lb ft) at 3600 rpm. The power is transmitted to the road by the front wheel drive (FWD) with a speed gearbox.

The Evolution has McPherson struts, coil springs, front suspension, and rear suspension. For stopping power, the Evolution 300 braking system includes Discs at the front and Drums at the rear. The Evolution model is a Hatchback car manufactured by Aixam, with 2 doors and 2 seats, sold new from year 2000 to 2004, and available after that as a used car.
