Ajay Thomas
Ajay Thomas is the entrepreneur and technocrat who, with V M Sudhin, developed the world's first concrete based floating solar power plant and the first floating solar plant to be set up inside a reservoir in India.[1] He developed the basic design during his final year at in Government Engineering College, Mananthavady.[2] Also with Sudhin, he started the company Vatsaa Energy in the technology business incubation centre of the college and concentrated in developing floating power plants.[2] At this stage the Kerala State Electricity Board was attracted to his ideas and decided to give him financial assistance to implement the first floating power plant in Kerala, India. This was opened on 21 January 2016.[1]
