Dr. Ajitha Chakraborty (31 October 1926 – 8 May 2015) was one of the first practising female psychiatrists in India.[1]

Ajitha Chakraborty was born in India, on 31 October 1926. She completed her medical studies from Calcutta and then went to Europe for further studies.[2] She was a member of the World Psychiatric Association, Transcultural Psychiatry Section, for 25 years.[3] She died on 8 May 2015.
