Akaga
Akaga is Bulgarian rock band established in 1992 from students of National Academy of Music.[1]
History[edit]
In the beginning of 90s the band was the first band, which had a brass section as a main constituent in it`s music.[2] Akaga took part in the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1998 and 1999.Since 2007 the members of the band are: Krassi Kourtev (frontman, bass-guitar) Georgi Velev (trumpet, vocals), Ivo Kazassov (trumpet, vocals), Krassi Kirilov - Jojo (trombone, vocals), Kalin Petrov (keyboards), Petar Glavanov (guitars) and Dimitar Mitev - Dundee (drums). The band also played in the festivals Montreux Jazz, Apolonia, Bansko Jazz, Klaipeda Jazz, Nishwille Jazz.
