Akbar Etabei Tabari, known as Akbar Tabari (born in the village of Mtikola, Babol Province), was the former Director General of Finance during the presidency of Seyyed Mahmoud Hashemi Shahroudi, the former Executive Deputy of the Judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the presidency of Sadegh Larijani, and a former member of the Board of Directors of Kung Fu and Martial Arts Federations. Tabari was the first official to be dismissed seven days after Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, the then head of the Judiciary, took office.[1][2]

Akbar Tabari was arrested by the IRGC Intelligence Organization in Amol on July 13, 2019. Tabari is named as the first defendant in the indictment.[3][4][5][6]
