Akinola Jordan Pedro (born July 2, 1994), also formerly known as AkinG Kalld Pedro is an American musician, songwriter, rapper, and record producer.
Early Life[edit]
Akinola Jordan Pedro was born in Northwest, Washington, D.C. and was raised by his Nigerian parents in the urban suburb of the Nation's capital. Pedro grew up with music from artists like Michael Jackson, Fela Kuti , Shina Peters, Tina Turner, Lionel Richie, & Sade serving as the soundtrack to his parents' home.[1][2]
Career[edit]
On April 2019, Pedro released a demo album, “SURREALISM” featuring his single “Traffic.jam {BARGAIN}” which appeared on NBA 2K20’s soundtrack in December 2019.[3][2][4][5]
In August 2019, NBA 2K partnered with UnitedMasters to conduct a global search for new artists and tracks to be added to the game's official soundtrack.[3][2] Akinola Pedro's single, Traffic.jam was 1 of 10 tracks selected out of 10,000 by UnitedMasters' founder Steve Stoute and NBA Superstar, Kevin Durant.[3][2]
In March 2020, Pedro released his song Fancy (featuring Alex Vaughn) via UnitedMasters. The single premiered on the hip hop online magazine site, HipHopDX[3]
His first single “INTERNACIONAL! (Plan B)” off his 2021 debut album "Children of Immigrants!" was released on June 26 2020. The single earned him a placement on NBA 2K21 Next Gen Soundtrack
