Akkubiah I ben Hoshea was the 25th Samaritan High Priest according to Samaritan Genealogical Records. He was a contemporary of Isaiah and King Hezekiah
According to the Samaritan chronicler Abū l'Fatḥ (14th century), Aqabja was a contemporary of Nebuchadnezzar II and thus also of the conquest of Jerusalem by the Babylonians (587 BC)[1] He is said to have been taken into exile in Babylon with the Israelites.[2]
