Akmal Nazarov (Uzbek: Akmal Nazarov, Акмал Назаров; born December 17, 1985, Namangan, Uzbekistan) is an Uzbek actor and singer. The singer was awarded "Doʻstlik" in 2011, and "Honored Artist of Uzbekistan" in 2017.[1]
Akmal Nazarov has achieved great success in the field of acting. He received wide recognition and acclaim in Uzbekistan after starring in the 2007 Uzbek drama "Hayot jilgalari" (Melodrama).[2] Since then, he has starred in many Uzbek melodrama films. In particular, the films "Umid", which were shown on the big screens in 2010, and "Dilor Dilor Dil va or" brought him great fame.[3]
Biography
Akmal Nazarov was born on December 17, 1985, in Namangan, the capital of Uzbekistan. After graduating from high school in 2000, Nazarov studied at the Namangan Faculty of Culture, graduated from university in 2004, and graduated from the Tashkent State Academy of Arts in 2008 at the Faculty of Musical Theater Acting.[4]
Akmal Nazarov got married in 2013 and now has 4 children.
Career
Acting career
He started his acting career in 2009 with his role in the movie "Xayot jilgalari". Although this movie was Akmal's first role, it received good ratings. The movie "Umid" tells the story of an ugly boy whose father abandoned him. After that, he starred in several movies.[2] In 2012, Akmal starred in the film "Mekhrigiyo", but he was unlucky in this film. In 2014, Akmal starred in two films, one of which was "Dilor Dilor Dil va or" directed by Shuhrat Abbasov.[5] Although it did not bring much fame to Akmal, the film "Dilor dilor dil va or" was included in the list of Uzbek cinema classics. Akmal's film "Steps" brought him great recognition. In 2015, Akmal released the film "Koʻz Yoshim" and this film introduced him not only to Uzbekistan but also to the countries of Central Asia. In 2015, Akmal received many awards: Best Actor of 2015, Best Positive Actor of the Year, and the RizaNova Award for Best Male Actor of 2015. In 2016, he starred in "Koʻz Yoshim 2", in 2017 "My mother's daughter", "Fitna" and series. Akmal plays a negative character in the 2018 "Tukhmat Gyrdobi" TV series.[6] This role reveals the unknown sides of Akmal and wins him the nomination for the best negative actor of 2018. In 2010, he starred in the movie "Snayper", produced by Ruslan Mirzayev.[7] The film was shot in Istanbul, Turkey, and Akmal played one of the lead roles in the film.[6] He then played the lead role in the series "Saboq" (A lesson), shot by Turkish and Uzbek filmmakers from 2019.
Singing career
Akmal started his singing career in 2013. Akmal's first single Yolgʻiz became a hit in Uzbekistan and he gained fame in pop culture. Following the success of Yolgʻiz, Akmal released his first album, Senda, in 2014. The album became one of the best-selling albums of the year.[8] Akmal's second album Goʻzalim was released in 2017 and became another hit album for him. The album's first single "Gul yuz" was released on radio channels and was well-received by fans. Singles such as "Keladur", "Jim Jim" also became hits.
