Al Ramli Mall or Ramli Mall (Arabic: مجمع الرملي) is the only shopping mall located in A'ali, Bahrain, and in the North Governorate. It is owned and operated by LuLu Group International, which owns over 13 shopping malls in the Middle East.
Location
Ramli Mall is located next to the busy Sheikh Zayed Highway, and next to the residences.
History
The shopping mall opened to the public on January 5th, 2011,[1] becoming part of the LuLu Group's chain of malls across the GCC,[1] with the anchor store being the Lulu Hypermarket, making it the third outlet in the Kingdom.[2]
And Managing Director Yusuff Ali responded to the media after the recent opening of the third Lulu Hypermarket with the saying “Over 70 major brands have joined us already at Ramli Mall and we are delighted with the enthusiasm of shoppers who have been checking the mall’s development. Ramli Mall will not only add to the economic development of the retail sector in the Kingdom but open up a new geographic area - Ramli Mall taps an area which has not so far been explored and which is conveniently located in the tourist corridor off the King Fahad Causeway and also a busy intersection of residential and school-university zones in Bahrain."
And according to the Islam and Capitalism in the Making of Modern Bahrain Book, the mall attracted over 4.7 million visitors as of 2016, the majority of whom were Saudi Arabian.[3]
Facilities
The mall mostly has fashion and retail outlets, and has Lulu Hypermarket as the anchor store.
