Alain Guimond is a Canadian Army soldier, serving as Canadian Army Sergeant Major.
He enlisted in 1983, qualifying as a combat engineer.[1]
In 2006, CWO Guimond was appointed as the 20th Regimental Sergeant Major of 5 Combat Engineer Regiment, Valcartier and served in that role until July 2010. He then served as Formation Sergeant Major of 2 Area Support Group. In 2012, he was appointed Sergeant Major for Land Forces Central Area. In April 2014, he became the 4th Canadian Division Sergeant Major following the division's reactivation. [2]
He was promoted to his current post on June 18, 2015.[3]
