Alana Kela (? - 1995) was an American transgender model and performer. She was the second alternate in the 1985 Miss Continental pageant. In 1995 Kela was murdered by gunshot wound to the head at close range after stepping out of a cab in New York City. Her murder remains unsolved.

Alana was born in Hawaii to "well-off" parents who were also accepting of her gender identity.
Career[edit]
Alana worked as a model for Starra, a leading clothing company for transsexual women as well as gay men who enjoy crossdressing. She modeled there alongside Candi Stratton.[1] Aside from modeling, Kela was a featured performer at The Baton in Chicago, Illinois, known for her Tahitian dance styling.[2] She also competed in pageants; doing a hula style of dance reminiscent of her cultural background in Hawaii. In 1985 Alana was a second alternate at Miss Continental. In 1992 Alana appeared on an episode of Jenny Jones discussing her life as a transsexual prostitute.
