Albert Duraev (born January 5, 1989) is a Russian mixed martial artist who competes in the Middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Mixed martial arts career
Early career
Duraev faced Sergey Khandozhko on June 14, 2015, winning via unanimous decision.[1]
Ultimate Fighting Championship
Duraev was scheduled to make his UFC debut against Alessio Di Chirico on October 30, 2021 at UFC 267.[2] However, Di Chirico was removed from the pairing on September 22 for undisclosed reasons and replaced by Roman Kopylov.[3]
Duraev was then scheduled to face Anthony Hernandez on April 9, 2022, at UFC 273.[4] However, due to a rib injury, Duraev was pulled from the event and he was replaced by Dricus du Plessis.[5]
In his second UFC fight, Duraev faced Joaquin Buckley on June 18, 2022 at UFC on ESPN 37.[6] He lost the bout after the doctor stopped the bout after the second round due to his eye swelling shut.[7]
