Albert School is a private European higher education institution specialising in data science and analytics applied to business and management. Founded in 2022 in Paris, the school offers undergraduate and graduate programmes that combine mathematics, computer science and business subjects, with an emphasis on professional immersion. History

Albert School was announced in January 2022 with a curriculum combining business education with mathematics and data analysis; reported early backers included entrepreneurial and business figures such as Xavier Niel (President of Illiad/Free) and Bernard Arnault (CEO of LVMH).[4] The school was co-founded by Grégoire Genest and Mathieu Schimpl, who respectively attended École Polytechnique and École Normale Supérieure/HEC.[5] The first intake began in September 2022; the school held its inauguration on 20 October 2022 in the 10th arrondissement of Paris. Contemporary press reported a first class of around 33 students, with Cédric O (former Secretary of State for the Digital Economy) as sponsor of the class. [6] In December 2023, Mines Paris – PSL and Albert School announced a strategic partnership to offer joint Bachelor's and master's degrees in data science and management.[7] The school subsequently expanded beyond Paris, announcing new sites in Marseille (2023), Lyon (2024), and in Milan, Geneva and Madrid in 2025.[8]

Mission and educational approach

Albert School positions its teaching at the intersection of mathematics, data analysis and business subjects, combining coursework with applied projects in collaboration with companies.[9] The school's materials emphasise case-based learning and “Business Deep Dives” developed with partner firms.[10] According to its brochure and public statements, the institution's stated long-term aim is to update traditional higher-education models for a data-driven economy; coverage at launch similarly described the project as seeking to “revolutionise” established codes. [11] . It was reported that the school has a "student-centric" approach with a horizontal structure, in which students are encouraged to give feedback. [12]

Joint degrees with Mines Paris – PSL

In 2023–2024 Mines Paris – PSL and Albert School announced joint Bachelor's and master's degrees in data science and management.[14] Two unique programs are also given according to the two schools' alliances; the International Master in Finance & Data in Geneva and the International Master in Strategy & Data in Madrid

Master in AI & Entrepreneurship (Milan)

In 2025 POLIMI Graduate School of Management (Politecnico di Milano) and Albert School announced a joint Master in Artificial Intelligence & Entrepreneurship delivered in Milan, structured around advanced machine learning and venture-building activities.[15]

Pedagogy and “Business Deep Dives”

Albert School describes a case-based approach closely integrated with companies through 3 week long, intensive “Business Deep Dives” in which students analyse a partner's data and present recommendations.[16]Early coverage highlighted announced collaborations with Carrefour and BCG around these project-based sequences.[17]

Corporate and public-sector

Albert School has many corporate partners which they closely collaborate with LVMH. In September 2023, LVMH notably held the opening day of its Data & AI Summit at Albert School and stated it had set up an educational partnership focused on data and AI professions.[20] They have also participated with Bernard Arnault (the CEO of LVMH) being one of the main investors of the school Edmond de Rothschild Carrefour. Carrefour announced a partnership including student scholarships and the first “Business Deep Dive”.[21]

Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Independent trade press reported BCG's early involvement (scholarships and teaching sessions).[22]

Ministry of the Armed Forces (France). The Ministry reported a 17–19 April 2024 “Defence x OpenAI & generative AI” hackathon hosted at Albert School's Paris site.[23]

Other brands occasionally cited by the school as collaborators or mentors (e.g., BNP Paribas) appear in its programme and campus communications; such listings are primary-source claims.[24]

Faculty, patrons and leadership

The school highlights a faculty that mixes academics with industry practitioners and identifies high-profile patrons for its Master of Science tracks; for example, Edmond de Rothschild stated that its CEO Ariane de Rothschild is patron of the “Data for Finance” master.[25]

Campuses

Paris. Original campus in the 10th arrondissement (rue de Paradis), opened 2022; the launch and location were covered by the press.[26]

Marseille. Campus announced for the September 2023 intake.[27]

Lyon. Campus opened in 2024 (7th arrondissement), reported by regional business media.[28]

Milan. Italian campus opened in September 2025 in 56, Via Tortona. The campus is associated with the Master in AI & Entrepreneurship delivered with POLIMI Graduate School of Management.[29]

Geneva. Swiss campus opened in September 2025 in Place Casa-Bamba; reported by the France–Switzerland Chamber of Commerce.[30]

Student body and international profile

At launch, the first Paris cohort comprised 33 students.[32] Subsequent communications emphasised an international footprint with campuses across four countries (France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain) and recruitment aimed at an international audience.[33]
