Alberto Larenas Fuenzalida (born 1860) was a Chilean geographical engineer and politician who served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies for Lebu, Cañete and Arauco from 1903 to 1906. He was a member of the Radical Party.[1]
Biography
Larenas was born in 1860, the son of Alejandro Larenas Vásquez and Elisa Fuenzalida Camps. He studied at the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile, qualifying as a geographical engineer on 15 December 1884.[1]
Larenas worked professionally as a geographical engineer. He participated in the appraisal of the Pellahuén estate, which was the subject of numerous legal disputes and claims. On 15 April 1928, he published a statement in El Mercurio identifying himself as the author of the estate's inheritance plan and advising against purchasing the land because of legal complications affecting the property.[1]
Political career
A member of the Radical Party, Larenas was elected to the Chamber of Deputies for Lebu, Cañete and Arauco for the 1903–1906 legislative term.[1]
During his tenure, he served on the Permanent Public Works Committee and as a substitute member of the Permanent Elections and Public Instruction committees.[1]
