Alberto Rosas (born 1997)[1] is a Spanish entrepreneur and engineer from Barcelona.[2] He is the co-founder and chief executive officer of Didit, an identity verification and fraud prevention company backed by Y Combinator,[3] and a co-founder of Santé, a Spanish aesthetic medicine and longevity company that runs Santé Clinics and the blood-testing service Santé Labs.[2][4] He has built his companies with his identical twin brother, Alejandro Rosas.[2]

Early life

Rosas was born and raised in Barcelona with his twin brother.[2][5] He played competitive tennis from the age of eight, was among the top players in Spain for his age group and played a world championship at 14, before stopping at 15.[5][6] As teenagers the twins worked in Barcelona's nightlife as nightclub promoters and bartenders.[5] At 18 he returned to tennis on a six-month scholarship at a university in Kentucky in the United States, then came back to Barcelona to study.[6][5]

Education and research

He studied electronic and industrial engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), where he received an award for the best academic record across its engineering degrees.[6][5] During his degree he worked as a university researcher on detecting dyskinesia in people with Parkinson's disease using deep learning, and he later completed a master's degree in applied mathematics together with his brother.[6][5]

In 2020 he published two open-source machine learning projects: a port of Nvidia's StyleGAN2 image-generation model to TensorFlow 2,[7] and mil, a Python library for multiple-instance learning that grew out of his Parkinson's research.[8][4]

Career

Didit

Rosas co-founded Didit with his brother in 2023.[9][3] The company sells identity verification and fraud prevention tools to businesses through a single API, covering document checks, biometric liveness and deepfake detection.[9] As chief executive he leads the company's vision, operations and commercial growth, while his brother leads technology.[2] He has said that before the company's first funding around sixty investment funds turned it down.[6]

Didit was part of Y Combinator's Winter 2026 batch.[3][10] In May 2026 it announced a seed round of 7.5 million US dollars led by Y Combinator, with participation from Pioneer Fund, Orange Collective, Founders Future, Phosphor Capital, SaaSholic and Rebel Fund.[9] As of October 2026 the company states that more than 3,000 organisations use it and that it covers over 220 countries, with headquarters in San Francisco and an office in Barcelona.[11]

Santé

With his brother he founded Santé, which began as an aesthetic medicine clinic on Avenida Diagonal in Barcelona and grew into a wider longevity and preventive health business.[2][4] Its clinics operate as Santé Clinics; in October 2026 El Español reported that the Barcelona clinic employed around 30 professionals and that a second clinic was being prepared in the Chamberí district of Madrid.[2] The group also runs Santé Labs, a blood-testing service in Barcelona.[12] Rosas describes his role at Santé as co-founder in charge of high-level strategy, and has spoken publicly about running the company's marketing and go-to-market himself in its early years.[4][13]

Angel investing

Rosas invests in early-stage startups together with his brother, with around 20 investments, many of them companies from Y Combinator's Winter 2026 batch.[4]

Media

In October 2026 El Español profiled the twins in its Disruptores section.[2] The same month he told his story on the Spanish-language Nova podcast,[6] and in August 2026 he published a talk on how he built the go-to-market of Santé and Didit.[13]

Personal life

Rosas is an identical twin; his brother Alejandro is his co-founder at both Didit and Santé.[2] He divides his time between Barcelona and San Francisco.[1] He speaks four languages, is a licensed skydiver with around 100 solo jumps, and trains CrossFit and boxing.[5]
