Alberto Zandi Mas (born 16 April, 1996) is a Spanish businessman and co-founder of Emerald Hospitality Group.[1][2]

Early life and education[edit]

Alberto was raised in Madrid, Spain, until the age of 16 where he then moved to London and attended The American International School in England and finished at St Johnsbury Academy in America. From 2015-2020 he studied Business Management and Finance at Queen Mary University of London and received an MSc in Computer Science at Queen Mary University in London, and a second MSc in Technology Management from University College London.

Career[edit]

Alberto started his career at Business Integration Partners in strategy consulting. He worked in digital transformation programmes mainly for telecoms and financial institutions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He then went on to co-found Emerald Hospitality Group, alongside his twin brother, Arian Zandi Mas. Alberto opened his first restaurant, Zuaya, in 2018 offering a range of Latin American flavours with a prominent focus on Peru. During the pandemic, he opened a further two restaurants: Como Garden, an Italian restaurant inspired in the exclusive Lake Como in winter 2020, and London’s hotspot El Norte, a Spanish luxury restaurant in November 2021. Alberto will be opening the hospitality group’s forth brand in January 2023 in Mayfair, a Southern French restaurant called Riviera and then will be opening a Greek restaurant in 2023 in Mayfair.. Through the success of the first restaurants, Emerald Hospitality Group will be taking all of the brands internationally to other world-renowned markets for hospitality such as Miami, New York, Dubai, Mykonos and Ibiza.[3][4][5] Alberto also launched the innovative social media app, MyIns, in April 2022. The app is based on social privacy, allowing users to enjoy the functions social media (feeds, live stories, photo filters, commenting, liking etc.) giving full control to the users to share content buy groups with the people that are relevant to that content.[6][7][8]

Achievements[edit]

Alberto was shortlisted for the young entrepreneur of the year in London 2018 and has been included in many UK media outlets including Forbes, Big Hospitality, Hardens and The Caterlyst. In 2018, Alberto founded Emerald Hospitality Group with his twin brother, Arian Zandi Mas, and grew it to be one of the leaders in the hospitality sector in London in just four years.[9][10]
