The Alder Graduate School of Education (Alder GSE) is an independent, non-profit organization that is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Commission on Teacher Credentialing. [1] [2]
Alder GSE is a 501(c)(3) graduate school of education based in the United States. Since 2010, Alder GSE is a teacher residency program that focuses on preparing teachers for transitional kindergarten (TK) through 12th grade public and charter school systems in California. [3] [4]
During the residency year, residents are trained with a mentor in a partner school, and complete graduate coursework, earning a Master of Arts in Education degree and Teaching Credential at the end of the one-year residency program. After the first year, residents are prioritized to be placed in one of Alder GSE's partner schools such as Aspire Public Schools in Los Angeles, Desert Sands Unified School District or El Dorado County Office of Education.
