Alec Mills is a British cinematographer. Noted for his work on seven James Bond films, his other significant titles include Return of the Jedi, Death on the Nile, Macbeth by Roman Polanski, and King Kong Lives. Mills began as a camera operator on On Her Majesty's Secret Service in 1969 and progressed to cinematography with the 1982 film The Island of Adventure, which he did without pay to gain a cinematographer credit.[1]

He directed two horror thrillers, Bloodmoon and Dead Sleep in 1990, both starring Linda Blair. His son, Simon Mills, is also in the film industry, often working as a focus puller and contributing to three Bond films.
