Life and career[edit]

Aleksandër Vezuli was born in Tirana, Albania, the son of Gliqeri and Kozma Vezuli. He began studying music at age 12, by learning to play guitar and later piano, double bass, accordion and drums. At the age 15 he started to write songs and classical music. He formed his own rock band "Sirenat e së Ardhmes" when he was 16 year old. This band (1970 – 1972) was stopped to perform after 2 years of life by the Albanian communist regime.

In 1973, after passing the audition, was accepted at the University of Arts of Albania where he studied music theory with prof. Albert Paparisto [sq] and composition with Tonin Harapi.

After his graduation in 1977 was deported by the communist government for his western opinions in music in the rural villages of Fier, where he served as music and art teacher for six years. He returned to his city, Tirana, where he began to work, after he passed the required test for the job in the National Radio Television (1983–1990). During these years in 1985 he finished his master's degree in journalism at the University of Tirana.

Private life[edit]
