Aleksandar Đurić (Serbian Cyrillic: Александар Ђурић; Petrovaradin, Austria-Hungary, 1891– Belgrade, Serbia, Yugoslavia, 1975) was a writer, soldier and a member of the Serbian army in Russia. After the collapse of the Russian Empire, he traveled together with other soldiers via Siberia to East Asia and the Far East and from there by ship to Greece in order to join the Allied war effort there. Aleksandar Đurić was also an officer who was part of the Second Volunteer Division[1], and while his account focused on military matters, it was published under a telling title Ka pobedi: ratni dnevnik (“Towards victory: war diary”).[2].
