Aleksandra Karolina Wiśniewska (born 27 May.[2] 1994 in Łódź[3]) – Polish humanitarian and political scientist[4]. Former head of humanitarian missions in Yemen and Ukraine. After parliamentary election in October 2023 Member of Polish Parliament[5].
She graduated from the London School of Economics with an undergraduate degree in Politics and Philosophy and from the Blavatnik School of Government at the University of Oxford with a Masters of Public Policy degree[6]. She started humanitarian work in Greece during the 2015 European migrant crisis and then continued in France, with the United Nations Development Programme in Turkey and Jordan, and in Iraq after the Battle of Mosul[6]. In 2019, she became the Head of Mission at the Polish Humanitarian Action in Yemen[7]
After the Russian invasion of Ukraine she became the Head of the Crisis Response Team of the Happy Kids Foundation that together with the federal and local governments of Ukraine, Poland as well as the UN Global Compact Network Poland helped to coordinate evacuations of children from Ukrainian foster care system[8][9][10][11] In 2022, she became the Head of Ukraine Mission at INTERSOS[12][13]. INTERSOS' interventions reached 100,000 people with protection, medical, psychological, material and financial support[14] Since 2023, she has served as the pro bono plenipotentiary of the Mayor of Łódź for civic engagement[15].
