Alessandro Appignani
Born in 1976 in Italy, contemporary composer Alessandro Appignani writes music in a style which he describes as "freeing" and enlightening".[1] His CD, The Last Bard, includes a number of his works, such as his Concerto for Viola, String Orchestra and Kettle-Drums, dedicated to first viola of the teatro alla Scala Danilo Rossi, by the Italian composer Alessandro Appignani premiered in 2008 in Città Sant'Angelo. Premiering under the concert series "centri storici in musica “; the concerto is divided into three stages: Sakura, Celvm stellatvm, Caerimonialis. Composed from an improvisation written on the piano which was later orchestrated, no notes were changed to give space to instinct and emotion, trusting in creative force that generates primal thoughts.
