Alessio Bidoli (born 18 August 1986) is an Italian violinist. His grandfather was Dante Regazzoni.[1]
In April 2009 he developed quadriplegia arising from Guillain-Barré Syndrome[2] In 2015 he featured with Italian art critic Vittorio Sgarbi.[3] His recitals have led him toEuropean venues.[4]
He has recorded a CD with pianist Stefania Mormone for Amadeus [5] and four CDs as a duo with Bruno Canino. For Sony Classical: "Verdi Fantasias" with paraphrases by Camillo Sivori and Antonio Bazzini [6]and "Italian Soul – Anima Italiana", a collection of works by Malipiero Petrassi and Alfredo Casella, most of which were previously unrecorded.[7] For Warner Classics: a CD album with music by Stravinskìj, Prokofiev, Ravel, and Poulenc [8] and, in October 2018, the complete works of Saint-Saëns violin and piano works, including a first recording of his youthful E flat major sonata (R103).[9]
