Alex Burunova (Filmmaker)
Alex Burunova is a filmmaker specifically an award winning writer, director, and producer based in Los Angeles. [1] Born in the Soviet Union, her mother was a well known saxophone player and musician, taking a young Alex across the world as she performed. [2] Alex has traveled the world again as an adult working on documentaries, short films and recently her first feature, Satisfaction. She has one multiple awards even qualifying for the Oscars. [3]
Career
Burunova begun her career shortly after graduating from the University of Souther California School of Cinematic Arts.[4] Originally a painter she eventually began directing, starting with theater before moving onto short films, a feature as well as a Netflix special.[5] The director has written her own feature as well as other shorts as well as directing and producing them. She has worked in the camera and electrical department as well as multiple assisant positions. [6] She has worked on the Coen brothers film True GritTrue Grit (2010 film), Mission Impossible and traveled the globe finding inspiration for and creating cinematic experiences. [7]
