Alex Evans
Alex J. Evans is an American planetary scientist and academic. He is the Thomas J. and Alice M. Tisch Assistant Professor of Earth, Environmental, and Planetary Sciences at Brown University.[1]
Evans is the lead of LunaSCOPE (Lunar Structure, Composition, and Processes for Exploration), a NASA-funded research node within the Solar System Exploration Research Virtual Institute supporting lunar science related to the Artemis era.[2]
His research focuses on the evolution, structure, and geophysics of rocky planets and moons.[3] He has contributed to lunar and planetary science research associated with missions including GRAIL and MESSENGER through published work in planetary science.[citation needed]
Evans was a member of the National Academies' Panel on Mercury and the Moon for the Planetary Science and Astrobiology Decadal Survey 2023-2032.[4]
