Career
Phillips's first feature film All Jacked Up and Full of Worms depicts the adventures of Roscoe, a janitor at a motel and Benny, a man he befriends. When the duo ingests hallucinogenic worms, all hell breaks loose as the two spiral out of control on a drug-infused bender. When the production was interrupted by the COVID pandemic, Phillips did a re-write and the cast and crew worked in small groups, over short shoots. He wrote, directed, co-produced, and co-edited the film. [1] [2]
The film's world premiere was at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal on July 16, 2022.
Phillip's second feature, Anything That Moves (2025) explores the Chicago gig-economy sex trade. Shot on 16MM, he wrote, directed, edited and co-produced the film along with in Vinegar Syndrome and Missing Link. It premiered at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal in July 2025. [3]
Phillips has received several accolades.
