Alexander (“Alex”) Navab is a business executive and investor.

Navab was born in 1965 in Isfahan, Iran.[1] He moved to America after the Iranian Revolution.[1] He earned a Bachelor's degree from Colubmia College, Columbia University in 1987 and an MBA from Harvard University in 1991.[2] Navab's first job out of college was as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs.[1] From 1991 to 1993 he worked at the international bank James D. Wolfensohn, in mergers and acquisitions.[1]

In 1993, Navab was hired by the investment firm KKR, where he held several executive positions.[1] He was promoted to partner and chaired several committees focused on the firm's investment strategy in the Americas.[1] Navab became Co-Head of KKR's America’s private equity business in 2008 and then sole Head in 2014.[1] While at KKR he helped raise $13.9 billion for a buyout fund.[3] He left KKR in 2017,[1] and started his own buyout firm with funding from Goldman Sachs.[1]
