Alexandra Jamieson

Early life and education

Jamieson, who goes by Alex or Sasha, grew up in Lake Oswego, Oregon and graduated from Lake Oswego High School in 1993. She graduated with a B.A. in U.S. History from University of Oregon in 1997. Jamieson also graduated from the Natural Gourmet School in 2001 (now a part of Institute of Culinary Education) and the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2003. She worked as a baker and private chef in New York City from 2001 to 2003.[citation needed]

Career

Jamieson is a multi-media artist [4] known for her work in watercolor.[5] She is the author of five books including Women, Food, and Desire, and Radical Alignment,[6] which she co-authored with her husband Bob Gower.

Jamieson has been a career and life coach [7][better source needed] to women in tech, tech sales, and leadership since 2002, and was named Elle Magazine's coach of January 2015.[7][better source needed]

She first became known for her role in co-creating and co-starring in the Oscar-nominated documentary Super Size Me.[citation needed]

Personal life

Jamieson has a son, Laken Spurlock, with first husband Morgan Spurlock. They divorced in 2012. She lives with her son and husband Bob Gower in Brooklyn, NYC.[citation needed]

She is a second cousin to Suzy Parker through her mother Annabeth Parker.[citation needed]
