Career
In 1997, Alexei began his career in Kyiv, organizing his rock group Cool Before. The band's album appeared quite quickly, already after 5 months of painstaking work; it was released under the name “Listen Chilled”. A little later, a video was shot for the song “Golden Autumn”, which became a hit. Another album was released – “Live!”. And also the group participated in the main festival of the country – at the “Tavria Games”, and all this in less than 2 years. Creativity of the group “Cool Before” can be classified as dance music of a new generation, which combines techno, new age, hip-hop, folk, and industrial.

Alexei takes his time deciding what songs he should make next in his orders, planning if he wants to make new songs in different months per year to release songs or albums. In 2001, the Cool Before group had a creative crisis. At this time, Alexei Bolshoi tries himself as the artistic director of Ani Lorak. Work with the star of the Ukrainian scene lasted until 2003. In 2003, the group “Cool Before” was renamed “Bolshoi”, recorded the song “We are going to women”, and shot clips for the song “Infinity”, and then “Lucky Ticket”.
