Alexei Valerievich Pavlov Sr. OLY (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist., better known as Alexei Pavlov, is a Russian former competitive swimmer and current swimming coach and sports referee. He is a participant in the 2000 Summer Olympics and a national record holder.[1]
Swimming career
Pavlov won gold, two silver, and a bronze medal at the 1997 Baltic Sea Games. He also became a 3-time champion at the 1997 World Military Championships. At the 1999 Military World Games, he won a bronze medal, and at the 2003 Military World Games, he won three silver medals. Pavlov is a finalist of the 1997 Summer Universiade and 2012 FINA World Masters Championships. He is a 7-time champion of the Russian National Swimming Championships (1996-1999, 2001) and has won multiple silver and bronze medals.
Olympic Games
Pavlov competed in the Swimming at the 2000 Summer Olympics – Men's 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay. He set a national record with a time of 52.73 in the relay.[2][3][4]
Coaching and refereeing careers
Pavlov is currently the head coach of the Tauras SC in Saint Petersburg. Notable students include his son, Alexei Pavlov Jr., and other champion swimmers. Pavlov also serves as a sports referee at various swimming championships.
