Alexia Inge is a British entrepreneur and is Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Cult Beauty. Launched in 2008, Cult Beauty is the London-based, international e-tailer of beauty, grooming and wellness products. Singularly committed to curating a 'Beauty Hall of Fame', under Inge’s leadership Cult Beauty is a destination for beauty discovery and incubating trends, featuring brands and products from all over the world. In 2019, Inge was listed as by WWD as one of the 50 most forward-thinking executives shaping the future of the beauty industry.

Early Life

Inge was born in 1977 in Johannesburg, South Africa before moving to the UK aged three, where she grew up in Somerset with her parents Rosemary and Christopher Inge and younger sister Olivia Inge, before moving to London to study Fashion Design in 1997.

Career

After graduating with a BA Hons in Fashion Design at Westminster University, Inge worked as a fashion model and Fashion Assistant at The Daily Telegraph, before pivoting into PR, working for GAP’s International Press Office and This is Mission agency.

Inge co-founded Cult Beauty in June 2008, and became co-CEO in 2014. The platform was built following a lifelong passion for beauty, with the mission to become the most trusted beauty retailer in the world - a mission that still drives the business today.

Cult Beauty is renowned for its curated, results-driven ethos with a real focus on indie brands and has become home to brands from across the world. Cult Beauty was the first independent e-tailer to stock Anastasia Beverly Hills and Huda Beauty. The platform also launched Milk Makeup in the UK and was the first retailer to sell Drunk Elephant in EU. Beyond its collection of products, Cult Beauty was the first Beauty retailer to introduce a female sexual pleasure and wellness category. Inge is at the forefront of tracking and forecasting beauty trends, based on the platform's consumer insights.

In 2019, Inge was listed by WWD as one of the 50 most forward-thinking executives shaping the future of the beauty industry and has since been awarded the CEW Achiever Award in December 2020.

Cult Beauty has been on the leader board of the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 and International Track 200 for the last four years and has also bagged the coveted WWD ‘E-tailer of the Year’ title.

Inge is also on the advisory board of the British Beauty Council and The Beauty Backed Trust.

Personal Life

Inge currently lives in London with her husband and daughter.
