Alexis DeVell was born in Colorado on October 8th, 1970 and grew up in the small town of Loveland, CO. At age 18, she became an exotic dancer working in gentlemen’s clubs in Denver such as The Mile High Club, Shotgun Willies and The Diamond Cabaret but quickly progressed by signing with a traveling dance circuit where she performed at night clubs across the United States.
In 1991, Alexis began her adult film career and was immediately contracted by Legend Video, featuring her on several of their box covers such as ‘The Perfect Pair’, ‘Burn’, ‘Collectible’, ‘The Cockateer’ and ‘Lather’. Soon after, she was nominated by the AVN awards for “Best New Starlet” in 1992, with only a few titles under her belt. In 1993 she was nominated by Hot d’Or for “Best American Starlet” (Hot d’Or de la Meilleure Starlette Americaine).
In total, Alexis starred in 55 movies, 30+ of which featured her on the box cover. She also took part in a great number of films and videos in cameo appearances and non-sex roles. In addition, she had writing credits for three of her movies (Poor Little Rich Girl 1, Poor Little Rich Girl 2 and Within and Without You).
Alexis was also a magazine model appearing in countless publications such as Hustler, Club, Cheri, High Society and more. She often appeared as the cover girl and centerfold, as well as numerous photo spreads.
Throughout her career, she continued her dancing profession, headlining as a Feature Entertainer, internationally, until 1997. All the while, Alexis worked in conjunction with Lucky Smith of ‘a Risqué Business’ providing professional management and representation for many adult stars in the industry such as Shayla LaVeaux , Chasey Lain, Kylie Ireland, Jill Kelly, Serenity, and Juli Ashton.
In 1997, Alexis set her focus towards production management and art direction for numerous production companies to include VCA, Wicked Pictures, The Playboy Channel, Adam & Eve Productions and more.
Alexis DeVell retired from the adult film industry in 1998.
