Alfred Douglas Price (1860 - 1921) was a businessman in Richmond, Virginia. He had an undertaking business. The building is extant.[1]

He was born enslaved in Hanover County and trained as a blacksmith.[2]

He served as president of the Southern Aid Society of Virginia, an insurance company, and was a director of banks serving African Americans.[3] He was active in numerous fraternal organizations.[1]

One of A. D. Price's hearses is extant and part of a museum exhibition. He owned a Kline Motor Car Corporation car. The car is extant. The car company manufactured in Richmond.[4]

The funeral home at 208 East Leigh Street features on a postcard.[5] A historical marker commemorates its history.[6] It is in the Jackson Ward. A mortician bought the building in 2019.[7] In 2022 a five-story apartment building was approved to be built on its parking lot.[8]
