Alfred Radermacher (born 1913) was an officer of the Reichsmarine and Kriegsmarine who served as a navigator, and later a commander, of German U-boats during the Second World War. He served as navigator of U-96 during its 7th war patrol, which was documented by naval war correspondent Lothar-Günther Buchheim and later became the model for the war novel and film Das Boot.[citation needed] He later served as commander of training boats and as a staff officer.
