Ali Gharib (Persian: علی غریب, born February 27, 1997) is an Iranian Comedian and Actor. He is best known as the champion of a stand-up comedy contests in a telecast program; zamani baraye khandidan 2018 and Khandevaneh 2021[1] directed by Rambod Javan (with AmirMehdi Jule, Hassan Majooni, Rambod Javan, and Pejman Jamshidi as referee committee), as well as his role in an Iranian comedy-drama, Aftabparast in 2022 (آفتاب پرست).[2] He is also involved in various activities onstage and backstage as a photographer, editor, Director, actor, TV host, and teaser maker.[3] The theater is the main domain of his works[4] and he is a fixed member of Kordkuy's Show Forum. Besides the Performing Arts, Gharib also played in TV series.es; Jazr-oMad[5] and Aftabparast.[6]
Biography[edit]
Ali Gharib was born and raised in Kordkuy, Golestan province. He is the second child in a family of four, where he was always surrounded by traditional Iranian music. Like his father, he first attempted to be a singer, but eventually found his passion in comedy and theater. He has very good taste in folklore music; singing and playing a traditional musical instrument (Dotar). His first acting role was in a school play when he was 6 years old (ugly duckling). He continued to be a permanent member of all school performances since. Ali Gharib successfully graduated from high school in applied science, however, following his passion, entered Lamei Gorgani University[7] where he got his Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in acting.
"Dorough Chera"[8] by Behzad Mohammadi, a very famous show from the late 70s in Iran was the turning point for him to be an actor. He mentioned in several interviews that he considers Mehran Modori as his role model,[4] and joined as one of the guests of Dorehami[9] tv program, with Mehdi Yaghmaei[10] 2022.
