Ali Muhammad Shibli (Bengali: আলী মহম্মদ শিবলী; born 1879) was a Bengali revolutionary and activist who participated in the anti-British independence movement.[1]
Life[edit]
Ali Muhammad Shibli was born in 1879, to a Bengali Muslim family in the neighbourhood of Tollygunge in Calcutta. His father's name was Hafiz Muhammad Haji.[2] Shibli was employed by the British Empire as a mechanical jamadar at Alipore Central Jail. As a rebel, he used this opportunity to keep communication with people outside the jail too. After several warnings, the government detained him.[2]
