Ali Vongsathian (born October 6, 1992) is an American businessman, entrepreneur and former professional esports competitor. He is the founder and CEO of the active-wear apparel brand Lift Squad Apparel. He is the chairman of privately-held non profit organization based in San Diego, California.
Early Life[edit | edit source]
Ali Vongsathian was born on October 6, 1992, in San Diego, California. He has one brother and two older sisters, he is consider the youngest in his family. In high school, he created one of the largest online gaming community in the world and shortly after the success he focused his attention on turning community into a business and eventually later, became a non-profit organization. He attended San Diego State University from 2014 to 2015, but did not complete his degree in Business Management & Administration in favor of pursuing his growing business in online gaming digital services.
Privately-Held Non-Profit Organization[edit | edit source]
Vongsathian began his non-profit organization as a hobby in 2007 during his freshmen in high school at the age of 15. He was hosting competitive tournaments and charity events online as a hobby. He received an approximate annual revenue of 500,000 a year alone from PayPal subscriptions and donations from his online gaming services. He eventually filed for a non-profit gaming community at the age of 21 and dropped out of college to pursue his business ventures. He was also a former competitive esports athlete who played professionally in CS:GO and League of Legends in 2012.
