Life and career[edit]

Alice Prosser played her first role in the theater at the age of eight alongside Gert Voss as "Katharina" in the duodrama Einfach Kompliziert by Thomas Bernhard. The play was directed by Claus Peymann and performed for two years at the Akademietheater in Vienna and played as a guest performance at the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris. Rehearsals took place at the Berliner Ensemble, among other venues.

From 2010 to 2012, Prosser was a member of the Children's Chorus at the Volksoper Wien, where she performed in various productions, including the role of "Martha Trapp" in The Sound of Music in 2012.

From 2016 to 2019, she participated in productions of Junge Burg as part of the Burgtheater. In the 2020/2021 season, Alice Prosser embodied the role of "Svenja" in the Burgtheater production Kriegerin, based on the multi-award-winning feature film by David Wnendt. Prosser was positively singled out for her acting performance by the daily newspaper DiePresse.

She gained her first camera experience at the age of seven in productions for ORF's children's program Okidoki. Among other things, she played the role of a detective child in several episodes of Tom Turbo together with Thomas Brezina. At the age of fifteen, she played the role of "Emma Neuer" in the online series ZETT on PULS4. The series was produced by Breitwandfilm and directed by Paul Harather. This coming-of-age series followed the principle of the Swedish hit series Skam. In 2018, ZETT was screened at the New York Television Festival in New York.

She made her film debut in 2018 in the ORF-ARD co-production of the TV movie Der beste Papa der Welt as "Kristina Köhler" alongside Oliver Mommsen, Philipp Hochmair and Hilde Dalik. The film was directed by Sascha Bigler, with whom Alice Prosser also filmed the comedy Der Fall der Gerti B. in spring 2019, in which she portrays "Gerti Bruckner" in 1978. Other roles include Christiane Hörbiger, Susi Stach, Karl Fischer and Cornelius Obonya.

In the feature film Corsage by Marie Kreutzer, Alice Prosser embodies the role of Anna Nahowski, the mistress of Emperor Franz Joseph, played by Florian Teichtmeister. The film premiered in May 2022 at the 75th Cannes International Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard category. The German premiere took place in June of the same year as the opening film at the Munich Film Festival, with the theatrical release following a month later. The film screened at other international film festivals, for example in New York City and Toronto, and in September 2022 was selected as an Austrian candidate for the 2023 Academy Awards.
