From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Alice Stevenson (10 July 1861 – 18 August 1973)[1] was born at Piccadilly, England and became a British supercentenarian. She was the oldest recognised living person in the world between the death of 112-year-old Josefa Salas Mateo of Spain on 27 February 1973 and Stevenson's own death, aged 112 years 39 days when she died at Sutton, England.[2][3][4][5][6][7] This made her the oldest Briton ever.[1][8] Her record was broken by Anna Eliza Williams on 12 July 1985.[9] After Stevenson's death, 110-year-old Elizabeth Watkins of Northern Ireland became the world's oldest person.
