Alice Thompson is a British composer and pianist.

Early life[edit]

Thompson grew up in London, and began attending classical music lessons from the age of six until about eighteen,[1] but had an interest in music even before that.

Career[edit]

Thompson's music career began in 2013 with the release of her first album, Solo Piano, which was quickly followed by two EPs. The sheet music to Solo Piano was published in 2015 by Music Sales Group. Thompson's music is now broadcast on the radio in 105 countries around the world.[1][2] She has since collaborated with other artists, such as Saul Freeman (formerly of Mandalay), co-writing and performing piano pieces.

Solo Piano Two was a Bandcamp Contemporary Classical Bestseller, which Alice has performed on tour at various events in the UK, including the Great Northern Piano Session II in 2019.[3]

Her latest album, Solo Piano Four, has a release date of December 2019.[4] Thompson is also a brand ambassador for PH Pianos,[5][6] and has written about the PH Chair.[7]
