'Alireza Abalooch (Persian: علیرضا ابلوچ; born 29 March 1998, in Shiraz, Iran) is an Iranian professional volleyball player who plays as an opposite hitter and outside spiker’. He has played in professional leagues in 'Iran, Turkey, Romania, Greece, Mongolia, India, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, and Iraq’. Abalooch was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Mongolia Volleyball League in 2022.
Early life and career
Alireza Abalooch was born in Shiraz, Iran. At the age of 17, he switched from practicing Kyokushin karate to professional volleyball. He started his volleyball journey with the youth team of Azarakhsh Fars and later joined several professional clubs in Iran before moving abroad. Abalooch is a student of Physical Education and is fluent in Persian (native), English, Arabic, and Turkish (at a professional communication level).
