Content[edit]

All Fantasy Everything's format is a roundtable discussion draft akin to sports draft, both fantasy and real, such as NBA Draft and National Football League Draft. The process of the All Fantasy draft is to firstly choose a draft topic e.g. Video Games, and for then the individuals to take turns selecting from a pool of potential answers e.g. Mario 64. When an individual makes a draft pick, that pick is then exclusive to that person and no other person may choose that pick for the duration of the podcast episode e.g. once Mario 64 is chosen, it cannot be re-chosen by another person.

An episode typically begins with Ian delivering an episode tagline/opening monologue introduction, which usually describes a real or fictional scenario and concludes with "and it’s that type of podcast". Ian then would then introduce each one of the guests, typically around 2-3 and usually including the ever-present David Gborie and Sean Jordan. The beginning portion of an episode is likely to include about 30 minutes ~ of talking and catching up between Ian and his guests, this has been commented on by Hershal Pandya of Vulture.com, stating "the show’s appeal stems as much from this breezy dynamic (Ian and his Guests) as it does from the drafts themselves" [4]. The topic of the podcast would then be introduced, followed by a game of "rollicking game of rock, paper, scissors", where the odd person out decides the order of the draft. The draft is a serpentine draft, meaning the player who chooses last in the first round, chooses first in the second round (12344321 system). Each week Sean Jordan, attempts to define a serpentine draft by applying it to a scenario, however as the podcast has been going on for nearly 3 years, this has become increasingly hard to come up with fresh ideas and the scenarios often don’t apply or are very confusing. At the conclusion of the podcast, Ian Karmel would read out all of the picks made by person, and then he would proceed to shout out real members of the community such as the guests Mum's including the term Saint before each name e.g. Saint Sue, as well as friends, Patreon members, Reddit users, slack users, also the shouting out people who may or may not be members of the community such as Frank Ocean, Hodgy Beats, Syd tha Kyd amongst others. The final word of the podcast is likely to be "Shaclackity" shouted by one of the guests, a word coined by Chris Charpentier.[5]
