Allama Iqbal Nagar
Allama Iqbal Nagar (علامہ اقبال نگر) (also known as Iqbal Nagar and abbreviated as AIN)on Haroonabad-Qamrani Road and to be found on the left bank of 5R Canal in the South East Region of Punjab(پنجاب), Pakistan (پاکستان). It is named after Allama Iqbal, the national poet of Pakistan and also a great thinker of Islamic World. The City was established in July 1976 due to heavy rain fall in the area. The distance of this City from Haroonabad (ہارون آباد) is about 5 kilometers. The City is the 3rd largest place in Haroonabad / Harunabad Tehsil in combination with its population size cum business areas. The Punjabi is the main language of the City. However, Urdu being National language is spoken and understood widely while English language is also used by the people of educators. The residents of AIN are doing small business, Government and private services, laboring and farming. The average climate of AIN is hot and sweetly. The under ground water is sweetish and salted.
