Allan Phang (born January, 16, 1981) is a Malaysian Entrepreneur and Esports professional . He is best known for working with AirAsia [1], The World's Best Low-Cost Airline voted 11 years in a row by Skytrax  and on his seventh portfolio – AirAsia Esports.

He was tasked by the co-founders of AirAsia, Tan Sri Dr. Tony Fernandes and Datuk Kamarudin Meranun to spearhead AirAsia's Esports [2]strategic initiatives. Before taking a leap of faith into the world of aviation, he was a college drop out turned accidental entrepreneur in the paintball industry. Allan has been known amongst his AirAsia peers as an intrapreneur. He won the ‘Take Ownership Award’  by AirAsia Group People and Culture for creating esports awareness and The Tune Group Best Marketing Partnership Award. He has been invited to share AirAsia's unique esports story on TEDx [3] Talks and a keynote speaker at various international esports conferences in New York, Hollywood, Miami, University of California Irvine, Japan, China, South Korea, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Abu Dhabi and France.

Allan Phang was born in Malaysia in 1981. He is a long time serial entrepreneur.

Career[edit]

Before joining AirAsia and getting involved in Esports, Phang was involved in creating a Paintball brand with two partners, the business achieved an average annual revenue of MYR 4 Million with less than 10 employees. He also invested in Regional Ancillary Income, Regional Marketing Group Partnership, and Business Development companies

In August 2018, Phang orchestrated a sponsorship between AirAsia Allstars Esports Club and three major gaming brands which received peripherals from Razer, Alienware which supplied gaming rigs and monitors and Secretlab which provided the chairs for the AirAsia Esports Zone.[4]
