Almost Never is a comedy drama which has aired on CBBC since 15 January 2019. The series follows the band, The Wonderland, as they try to become famous in the pop industry after coming in second place in a fictional talent show, The Spotlight..

The first series was made fully available on iPlayer after the first episode, and ended on 9 April 2019 on CBBC. The second series began on 29 October 2019, with the first half of the series being made available on that date. A double-length Christmas Special was aired on 10 December 2019, followed by the second half of the series on 31 December 2019. The second series ended on TV on 28 January 2020.

Production

The first series was filmed in summer 2018, for broadcast in the next year. The first series became available on iPlayer after the first episode aired. Mya-Lecia Naylor, who played Mya in series 1, died on 7 April 2019, leading to script rewrites. The second series began filming on 12 August 2019, and finished in November of that year.
