altshare ltd. is an Israeli FinTech company, owned by the investment house Altshuler Shaham. The company's CEO and founder, Ronen Solomon funded altshare in 2006 under the name Benefits. Today, altshare is one of three of the largest trustees in Israel, and in 2021 the company launched an equity-dedicated SaaS platform for private and public companies, investors, and VCs. altshare's headquarters is located in Tel Aviv.
History[edit]
altshare was founded as a private company on November 7th, 2006 by Ronen Solomon under the name Benefits. a year later, altshare was bought by the investment house Meitav Dash and the company's name was changed to Meitav Dash Benefits. On June 2016, Altshuler Shaham acquired Meitav Dash Benefits, the company name was changed to Altshuler Shaham Benefits, and the board of directors joined Ran Shaham and Chen Altshuler. In early 2019, altshare's board decided to enter the high-tech world and create a platform to contain all company's services. By the end of 2021, Altshuler Shaham Benefits went through a complete rebranding.[1] The main brand colors were changed to purple and the brand name to altshare (small primary letter a). In 2022 the platform was launched as a SaaS in the languages of English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese.

In 2019 altshare acquired an Israeli startup by the name of AlgoValue and added its founders to the company's VP ranks. In early 2021, altshare acquired a seed-stage startup by the name of Pareto by Shachar Lotan and Roy Avita for about 8M NIS.[2]

Trustee in Israel[edit]
altshare provides trustee services for the allocation of stock options, and equity-based compensation plans by the regulations under section 102 of the Israeli IRS.
Corollary, the company serves as a trustee in acquisition deals and as an Escrow agent.
SaaS platform[edit]
The platform was created in 2021, dedicated to founders and investors. altshare's platform was designed to give a solution for equity management while equity-based compensations became a growing phenomenon.[3] The platform offers:

altshare's equity management platform is offered as a Freemium: signup and essential services, such as cap table management and online data room is free. Increasing service capacity, modules, and other services require a monthly subscription.
SaaS platform - Employees' personal zone[edit]
As part of altshare's SaaS, an owner may open access for his employees who receive any kind of stock-based compensation. There, the employee can stay updated in real-time on his grant schedule and status.
409A valuation[edit]
altshare proved global services regarding equity, including valuation adjusted to specific countries and regulations. The commonly known 409A valuation is part of the American regulation regarding stock-options allocation to American citizens.

altshare's headquarters is located in Israel, Ramat Hachayal St. Tel Aviv. Furthermore, the company holds a programmer's house in Kibbutz Moran, upstate Israel. altshare holds customer service and trade offices in New York, USA, and a trade, sales, and customer care branch in Paris, France.
Trustee in Israel[edit]
By the Central Bureau of Statistics (Israel) data, altshare provides trustee services for more than 2,400 private companies and about 450 traded companies (in a 7k total startup industry).[4]
