The Alumni Chapel is the chapel of The Hill School.

History[edit]

Before the chapel was constructed, Hill students and masters worshipped at the First Presbyterian Church. [1]

Built in 1904 of sandstone, the chapel was dedicated in February 20, 1904. [2]

Gifts[edit]

Several elements of the Alumni Chapel are gifts from alumni and friends of the school.

Organ[edit]

The organ was built by the Austin Organ Company in 1965.

John Meigs Grave[edit]

Former Headmaster John Meigs is buried in the chapel.[3]

Solar Panels[edit]

The Hill Class of 2010 donated a 1800 watt solar panel system that powers the eternal light within the chapel, lighting for the Chapel Clock, as well as the light over John Meig's grave.[4]
